"The All-New Ms. Marvel" -- Looking for a missing Daily Bugle reporter in New Mexico, Ms. Marvel comes into conflict with a race of lizard people. Written by Chris Claremont, this issue debuted Ms. Marvel's new blue and yellow thunderbolt costume. Published in October 1978.

This is a great page from too short a run by this great art team on the title. I think Dave and Bob looked beter here than when teamed on Dave's second X-men run.

This one definitely deserves a comment. Beautiful beautiful linework by Cockrum/Wiacek. Wiacek really did a great job embellishing Cockrum. Beautiful shots of Ms Marvel. A keeper page.

While my comment here is somewhat off from promoting how important this new costume design change was, I am just glad that Marvel editiorial, David Michelinie, and John Byrne did not destroy this new costume design from Dave Cockrum when they brought Ms. Marvel back for her brief stint with the Avengers from issues 181 to 184.  For those that know the Avengers history, they (Marvel editorial and Jim Shooter) destroyed Wonder-Man's revampled costume from Avengers 161 in just four issues with Byrne and Marcos pencilling and inking that story arc.
