Gwendolyn And Coda by Bill Robinson

The first Kickstarter that I backed was for the children's book "Gwendolyn and the Underworld" by Ian Samuels and Illustrated by Bill Robinson. When I saw the project I immediately had to back it. The art was cute and the story sounded very interesting, Being a lover of art I simply couldn't resist pledging for a tier that included a 8x10 original.


Today the package from FlimFlammery Press arrived. Inside were four copies of "Gwendolyn and the Underworld", a copy of "M is for Mutt", three bookmarks, a set of four pins, two 13x19 prints, and of course the Original Art.


The piece that Bill painted is a recreation of page 12. In the book Gwendolyn has recently been made a Pet Reaper. On that page Coda, her Peacodgehog, and Gwendolyn are flying out of the Underworld to go on their first assignment. The piece is absolutely adorable and if I have to say I think is even better then the digital piece that it is recreated from.
