After the silver age Green Lantern series was canceled in May 1972 with issue 89 (Neal Adams art), the exploits of Hal Jordan were published as a backup stories in The Flash for approximately four years. Then the Green Lantern series resumed in August 1976 with issue 90 (Mike Grell art).
