This photo was taken at the opening of a Robert Crumb expo in Köln (Cologne), Germany, in May 2004. It shows me (with the face of an unknown, drawn by Jean Solé), Robert Crumb and his wife Aline. The artist holds a letter he had sent me one year before. When the photo had been developped, I sent it to R.Crumb asking him to sign it. Instead of simply signing it, he drew a self-portrait into the blank space formed by the sheet on the photo. The self-portrait is thus an original drawing done on the photo.
