DescriptionI finally got a David Lapham Harbinger page from the early days of Valiant! Lapham was one of the main workhorses at Valiant in the early days, drawing Rai, Harbinger, Shadowman, and more, and he was always a favorite of mine. Not the flashiest artist around but a solid storyteller. This page is from the issue right after Unity, where the team suddenly reappear at their friend Dr. Heyward's house. They were gone for months fighting the Unity war, but to the rest of the world it was just hours that they were gone, as the Doc says here. The whole team, minus Kris, is shown here, with her recovering in the bedroom from just giving birth to Magnus. (who was sent to the future for his destiny) So it's a nice story page from the best period for the book.Harbinger was one of my favorite Valiant books until Lapham left and they decided to throw out everything that made the book good and crap all over it with issues leading up to and including #25, where they reveal everything was just a Harada mind-f**k. Very unsatisfying. But thankfully, the first 15 issues or so were solid. So I hope to get some of the pre-Unity and Unity art too, but this was as close as I have gotten so far. A wonderful page, Dave!! I, too, loved those early Valiant stories, so I can imagine how you're feeling owning this gem. Congratulations, my friend!!!!

The Valiant period has been one of the most brilliant of the modern history of comics. Great page, my friend, and great choice. I have to say than I also appreciate all the descriptions for all your art. Thanks for sharing!
