Wasp by Rod San

I hadn’t heard of Rod San before I’d successfully bid on this piece at one of Court Gebeau’s comiconart eBay auctions. Rod’s portfolio contained a number of drawings that point to the artist’s potential, and this image struck me as being the most completely realised of the lot. I’ve always liked the Wasp as a character, her history with the Avengers confirming her being more than just a sidekick. Though she’s currently amongst the dead in both the Ultimate and mainstream Marvel universes, I suspect it is only a matter of time before Janet Pym makes a reappearance.
