Bettie Page Rocketeer Emanuela Lupacchino

So I was checking out the list of artists that were going ot be at NYCC 2012. I noticed Emanuela Lupacchino's name on the list and I was pretty excited. I've been talking with her for years but have never had the chance to meet up in person. Well, I was in the area for a wedding that weekend but worked it so I was able to swing one day of the con to meet up.

Shooting e-mails back and forth with Ema about setting up this commission for pick up, we got to discussing Dave Stevens, The Rocketeer, and his work. No big surprise that we were both big fans of Dave's art. Really, who wouldn't be? So it just seemed natural to have Ema do a pin up style Bettie Page with the Rocketeer helmet.

I saw the scan several weeks ago and was blown away with how fantastic it turned out. Seeing it in person was even better.
