DescriptionDuring the release of Iron Man 2, Marvel did an awesome variant series called "Iron Man by Design" in which artist reimagined the character across a variety of time periods and cultures. While it was a great series overall, Del Mundo's Tesla Iron Man was the most eye popping with its elaborate sparks of electricity.When Mike was listed as attending at NYCC he was one of my top targets to get a piece from. I ran around artist alley trying to find his table and was overjoyed when he said he would do a commission of it. When I saw it for the first time, I was mesmerized with the way Mike blended the electricity with the bright colors of the armor giving it a very special "bright" feel, almost as if it had a built in light source. It was a no brainer that I had to get Stan Lee to sign it on the light source as it looked like the perfect "spark of creation" and naturally fitting. Social/Sharing |
