Description

Evocative page from this great, although very underrated, Italian artist (b. 1945).
It was published as page 1 of the short story "La Strega" (The Witch), in a series of tales set in Ancient Rome, titled "All'ombra delle aquile" (In the Shadow of the Eagles). This series was originally published in the Italian magazine "L'Eternauta" (1983-1984), then collected in a beautiful book released in 1986.

I must say that although I haven't a clue who these artists are, I am grateful to you and other international collectors for allowing me to view such beautiful art from around the globe. This page is no exception - beautifully rendered by Gaudenzi. Thank you for sharing, Davide.

A new artist for me. A great style with some Corben influence among others. I'll have to find out more. Thank you for the introduction.
