Description
For some reason I always liked the Fury of Firestorm series that came out in the early 80's. Maybe because it was about a teenager, it was kinda like what Spider-Man would've been to somebody 20 years older than me. Pat Broderick had a style different from anybody working at the time that blew me away.

Both Firestorm and many memorable Spiderman stories were scripted by the very talented Gerry Conway, and I think it was a purposeful move on DC's part to hire Conway and get that same teenage angst into the Fury of Firestorm book. While I always liked Broderick's pencils, I was not the biggest fan of Rodin Rodriguez's inks on Broderick, but this is one of the finest splashes from the series. A terrific pick up. Congratulations!
