TMNT Prelim Part 01 - Donatello

I'm starting TMNT over again. This time I've decided to study each Turtle individually so that I can fit them together in a group composition. This is my rendition of Donatello. From the time I was ten, I always gravitated towards the brains of the team and in all his incarnations that hasn't changed. I figure that since he was always more cerebral than physical, that would play into his musculature. To that end, I made him a little more leaner than the others, as well as an inch taller. The length of the bo staff was also debatable so I settled in at a length of 5.5 feet at least. As to the eyes, I wanted to achieve an effect that evokes the comic and 2003 animated series, so i decided on white pupils with the eyelids showing through the mask. Unlike previous designs there will be bulges but the mask will not trace the brow. More as it develops.
