TMNT Prelim Part 04 - Michaelangelo

The party dude of the 80s, the wise guy of 2000s, and all round comic book geek before it was cool, Michaelangelo was a challenge. Given this guy has a multitude of interests and hobbies, I wanted to figure out a way of conveying that childlike innocence and balance that with the fact that ironically the team's resident slacker has more raw talent than his brothers combined. So for reference on double nunchuck action, I checked out a photo of Bruce Lee and used the musculature and pose. The face is a good juxtaposition to the body language; Mikey is rarely engaged fully in what he's doing, which makes him the wild card. The grin is inspired by the third part of Turtles in Space from the 2003 series. The part where he admits to being voted most likely to brighten up a room with his smile. Booyakasha says it all.
