This lovely and highly stylized vision of Dejah Thoris was drawn by Eric Canete. 11 x 14" - blue pencil, brush & technical pen on 100lb/300 series bristol board.
Eric is an illustrator, designer and storyboard artist based in Los Angeles, CA. In animation he has worked on Aeon Flux, Dark Fury, Ben10, TRON: Uprising and the forthcoming Beware The Batman. In comics he has worked on: Cybernary 2.0, Iron Man: Enter The Mandarin, The End League, Luke Cage and Superboy. This lovely original was purchased from Don Heinsberg in November 2012.
Of this particular piece, Eric said on his blog on July 22, 2012: "One more image from San Diego Comic Con. It took about three or four tries before I settled on this final pose. I still don't know if I got it right, but I was dealing with a truncated time line. Over all, a lot of fun to do and she was a wonderful challenge to draw."
