DescriptionFrom the happily deranged minds of Al Ewing and Brendan McCarthy, The Zaucer of Zilk was one of those strips we see all too few of in 2000AD these days (and where else would you find them?). WIth a freewheeling feel similar to Milligan & McCarthy's classic Sooner or Later and Mirkin the Mystic, Zaucer is a joy to read. If a series pitch like "Elric meets Time Bandits meets Yellow Submarine meets The Wizard of Oz" leaves you cold, then there's no hope for you.Nice to see Brendan's linework and colouring before the application of digital psychedelia - and I've added a scan from the published version for comparison (from 2000AD, although the series has now been collected as a two-parter by IDW).
