Description
Like many collectors, I hold a special place for those books that started my infatuation with the medium. Back in the 70's, my grandparents had a small news kiosk in the Manhattan subway system. My parents occasionally took us to visit. I have to say that back then, the subway was no place to let your 5 year old run loose! A few comics, including this one, were tossed at us to keep us distracted. I never thought I'd hold the original in my hands 35 years later!

A classic cover. So glad to know a treasure like this is in a good home. I have a similar story with my DD #223 cover. Thanks for sharing!

I've been watching to see if someone would post this. Dan, did you buy this off me through the mail? I live in Ohio and sold in to someone in Canada (I believe) a few years back. I bought it at a comic book show back in the early 80s. Love this book. First original art I ever bought. Only other were a Dark Shadows and Bugs Bunny daily strip art. Take a gander at the published version to see how they altered the angle of Morbius' head. I always was amazed by that. That is an overlay with the lettering, is it not as the art, as the art I owned was image-only. Also, Dave had signed it in the UPC symbol box, if I recall right. Loved this!

I picked it up about five months ago from a guy in California. Thank you for taking such good care of it. It's in great condition. Cockrum's signature is still there, but it's faded over the years. And thanks for the heads-up on the stats.

This is one of those special books for me too, as I recall reading this issue hundreds of times after I took it out of one of those 3 for .79 bags! I loved this story, and its so great to see that the original to this cover still exists! Fabulous pick up! Congrats!

No way! This is AWESOME!!!!!! Where in the world did you dig THIS up? Always loved Morbius The Living Vampire. His story arc in Amazing Spider-man #100, 101, & 102 is among my favorites from the entire series. Big congratulations on this one! Wow!
