I am not a huge Star Wars fan. I like the old movies as much as th next person and whole the prequels looked nice they weren't all that. Having said that I LOVE Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. I love the XBox games (a lot) and I really like the comic series.
A large part of that is because of Brian Ching. Been a fan of his since... well pretty much since he started working in comics. I've keep following his work since I was in high school. So when I heard he was doing SW: KotOR I was stoked.
Fast forward to some time in October when I decided to drop Brian a line and see if he was interested in doing a Zayne commission for me. I dig Zayne, I think he's a fantastic character. He combines what I like I my comic heroes: a touch of happy go lucky, a touch of naivete but with the heart in the right spot; someone who can be a hero when he needs to be, not because he has to but because its in his nature. Bit like Iceman from the X-Men and Boy Blue from Fables.
Brian agreed to take the commission, in fact he was more than happy too because he too really likes Zayne. And it shows in this piece. I think Brian outdid himself, he captured that happy go lucky aspect of Zayne perfectly. I can't say enough good things about this piece (and Brian in general) so I will stop here. Enjoy!
