Description
Who's Who was such a great series for the new and old reader alike. It was a great primer for those getting into the DC universe and it was like visiting an old friend for the dog eared fans. DC was able to draw on top talent to illustrate each Who's Who entry. The early covers were penciled AND inked by George Perez and in my opinion some of his best work.

This is something I picked up from my buddy Bruce Lowry. Bruce purchased this directly from Roz Kirby on a visit to her home. When he put this beauty up for sale to fund another acquisition I just couldn't stop myself from picking it up. I absolutely love Kirby's uninked pencils.

The published version is inked. The pencils were lightboxed onto another board and inked. The faces were altered by the inker on the published version. The relationship of an inker and penciler is collaborative and in the best team-up, it's pure magic, but in the instance of the inked version of this piece, I really wish the inker didn't change the faces.

I'm a huge fan of Kirby's 4th World stuff. I'm familiar with the inked version. Seeing this in pencil is refreshing and exciting. Thanks for posting this.

Very appropriate for a Fourth World character! Has it really been 20 years?!
