DescriptionThis one is extra special to me as it was a true tag-team request from Matt and I. Matt really likes the Super Powers action figures I have in my office at home and has even sweet talked me into "loaning" him a few to display in his room. His favorite figure is the Parademon, but he also really likes Steppenwolf, Kalibak, and Mantis. I had already decided my next commission request from JB would be a Dark Phoenix vs. Apokolips, so Matt and I decided to add in some of the Super Powers versions of the Apokolips characters when I made the request. JB was not a big fan of the Super Powers version of the Parademon, but gritted his teeth and included them since they were designed by Jack Kirby! This commission is a whopping 30" x 40".Social/Sharing |

Really like the caged Kalibak reaching out to Dark Phoenix. Maybe he likes getting burned!

Wow, spectacular commission! As much as I love the art, the story resonates even more as I have a son who this story reminded me of - great score Jim!

Cool commission Jim. Even better that you and Matt got to have some fun deciding together what to do. Congrats. 8 )

Just love this. John Byrne's take on Fourth World is but a half a step after the King and that makes his the best around. With so many interesting characters I hope we see more like this. I like that we see Byrne created character Sleez; I like the little guy.
