I've just received this wonderful commission ink and watercolor piece from Creig, who continues to create beautiful work well into his 90s. I love how he's taken a twist on a previous commission that he did for me. In his letter to me, Creig wrote:

"Herewith is an exciting episode of the 'Sandman', rescuing his creator from an over-ardent fan. when peace was finally restored it turned out that the villain was Creig, not the fan, because he drew him to look like a thug."

If you look closely at the bottom left of the piece, you'll see the Shining Knight and David Crane, two old characters that Creig worked on.
