Description
George Pérez revisits the Natasha Romanoff/Ivan Petrovich origin sequence originally rendered by Gene Colan on page 9 of Daredevil #88. I'd sure like to find the Colan/Palmer version (included below as extra images, for comparison's sake), if anybody is willing to part with them!

The Stalingrad origin sequence has probably been retconned four or five times by now... but, it's still canon to me!

I admired this page for the longest time in Rob's CAF gallery. All that Perez rubble is magnificent! I'm glad this page ended up in your collection!

Excellent work on this page. Additionally, I'd really like to thank you for the use of Additional Images to do the comparison with the earlier telling of the story. That's really nice.

Fabulous Perez page! I love his art in this retelling of the origin story of Natasha Romanoff. Beautifully drawn and inked.

Perez and Breeding, what an interesting combination.  I've always thought Breeding's inks were geared more toward large, grand images, and yet they work really well with Perez's minute detail work.  At certain points, it is reminiscent of Dave Gibbons.

I really like it.
