Robin by
Ron Salas
I'll be honest here, I was not a fan of Jason Todd until after he returned from the dead. I discovered Jason's time as Robin mainly through back issues and flashbacks and he was just a bit too cocky and he disobeyed orders too much to last long as Robin, in my opinion. But when he returned as the Red Hood I found myself really digging him as an antagonist for Batman. And even though I wasn't blown away by the first issue, I have quickly become a Jason fan because of his Red Hood and the Outlaws series. And in this New 52 continuity they gave Jason a new Robin costume in the flashbacks, which I asked Ron to draw for me. The main thing I like about this costume is that it's different that Dick Grayson's. I never liked the fact that Dick and Jason both wore the same outfit. Anyway, Ron did a beautiful job here, making Jason look just a little bit cocky and yet still heroic. I love the cape and the cityscape as well. And I'm very pleased with how Ron has captured each Robin's personality and made each one look so distinct that you can tell them all apart just by looking at their faces. Huge thanks to Ron for his always amazing commissions!
