Description

This is a really amazing pencil prelim by Donato for a commission he was working on.

Donato was gracious enough to give me the background information about the piece: The piece was commissioned by someone who wished for me to capture the majesty of space and the awe of exploration of the stars, the universe and beyond. The idea was to show a parent opening/sharing their knowledge with the next generation of star farers, continuing a long link in the chain of humanity. The chain idea is played out in the interlinking space structure in the background, adding yet another link to the line.
