Description

There's no argument that Bill Sienkiewicz soon went on to more and more interesting work as his creativity slipped the moorings and his style matured, but this is the kind of art that turned me on to his work when he was first breaking into comics. I remember following Sienkiewicz from the back-up features in "The Rampaging Hulk" magazine, and feeling that, even in his early Neal Adams stage I could see strong elements of an individual style emerging rapidly.

Wow! I love seeing Bill Sienkiewicz's early work on Moon Knight. Sure, he grew as an artist as his style matured, but you can see on this early page just how good he was right from the start. This is classic comic art and Bill clearly learned how to draw in the classic style right from the start. It shows you need to know the basics of drawing before you can throw the rules out the window and do the really wild and crazy stuff that he became famous for. But it's interesting to see where he started. Thanks for sharing!
