DescriptionI've always wanted a Wolverine painting by Gabriele Dell'Otto ever since I bought his artbook back in 2009.4 years later it's here and I am floored... This piece is done in acrylic on a 16 x 24 stretched canvas. It's an absolute beauty and I absolutely love it. Before this, I have made several attempts with no success. I know he only does maybe 2 per year of cover quality commissions and perhaps once in a blue moon for a painting on canvas. So I really went through hell to get this. I was so happy when I received the email confirmation as I have waited for 4 long years for it. And what makes me happier than receiving this? Gabriele has mentioned he proposed to Marvel to make this a variant cover. If that happens... UPDATE: It really happened. They made it the variant cover of Return of Wolverine #1. The issue that features the 1st appearance of his new powers and 1st appearance of Persephone. I cannot be more excited! :) Social/Sharing |

It's so rare that I fall in love with all the elements of a piece of art.. however, this is the personification of perfection and proof that there is an exception to any rule. Your wait was sooo worth it, my friend. :) **LOVE that the wolves eyes mirror Wolverine's costume and they seem to pierce right through you!!**
