DescriptionAllred really shows affection for his subject on this cover. There's a level of detail to the scene that isn't typical of his work. I really like the inkwash on this piece, too. Unfortunately it was lost once they added the mod color scheme to the published cover. And Allred hand drew (& inked) the logo! Who does that in this day and age?Social/Sharing |

When I was a kid (I didn't discover comics until my teens), it was all about that campy Batman show for me. Love it!

Really nicely done cover. Definitely keeps that 1960s Batman vibe. I fully expect Batman to pull out the Bat-crocodile repellent in the next scene.
