DescriptionI loved reading GI Joe from about issue 1-50. The stories were fun and it was a nice change from the heavy dose of the various mutant books back in the 1980s.Zeck did quite a few of these Joe covers and I have fond memories of many of them. The fact that this cover has 4 joes in a gun fight made it an easy buy. At this point, I would love to find a few more GI Joe covers. Anyone know where the Michael Golden GI Joe #27 cover is? Anyway, I have Ken Rodgers to thank for this cool cover. Ken is not only a nice guy with great taste-- but Ken has always been kind enough to send me the artwork BEFORE he receives payment. This has happened more than a few times and I thank you Ken. Social/Sharing |

I agree about this run of comics being an ideal change of pace from all the books that topped the charts in the 80's. This is a super nice example. Zeck on GIJOE was a great combo.

Yo, Joe (pun intended)! Totally agree - the first 50 or so issues were a blast to read...I stuck with it until issue #68 before pulling the ripcord as it started getting too ridiculous by then. Congrats on the pick-up!

I grew up cutting my fanboy teeth on all things GI Joe- toys, cartoon, movie, comics, etc.- so this definitely speaks to me! Great cover, Joe!
