Description

2012 private commission and my 50th birthday present. At Illuxcon 2011, a free-thinking discussion at the bar with sculptor Vincent Villafranca led to him doing some deep-sea diver bronzes. We couldn't help picturing how PJJ would handle painting that helmet, and this was the result. I had a fairly tight layout I wanted Patrick to follow, and in spite of the limitations set, he did the usual outstanding job. The photo doesn't begin to do justice to the painting. Oil on canvas, 24" x 36".
