Description

This piece was the second in a series of 20” x 30” commissions by John Byrne involving a team of Marvel heroes, their headquarters and at least one really cool team vehicle. In this case, I asked John to do a piece with the Fantastic Four that included the Baxter Building, the Fantasticar and H.E.R.B.I.E. He delivered in a big big way with a piece that is completely action-packed from top to bottom! The detail of this enormous piece is really fantastic and I recall John joking that he should have been paid per window pane. As a bonus, I was pleasantly surprised to find that John had added the Frightful Four – Electro, Sandman, Trapster and the Wizard – which you can see toward the bottom of the piece.

Byrne does some great commission work, and this is one of his absolute best. Love the background just as much as the team themselves.
