Hah. When you bought mine I emailed Francesco and he said he had just sold this, asking if I'd like to sell back the "Dent" splash to him. Funny :) Great piece. I wonder, did you also buy the collected volume cover just recently, too? ;)

Stellar! What a great moment from Tim Sale's Batman: The Long Halloween. The series had a lot of great moments, but I think this was my favorite. I love this image of Batman standing over his greatest nemesis--the Joker. It's an iconic image of the Dark Knight. Tim Sale was incredibly good at finding iconic scenes. He always found just the right angle to use on scenes, just the perfect way to position characters for maximum impact. He sure did that here. We see Batman in a moment of triumph. He's won this battle, but sadly he's kidding himself if he thinks he's going to rid Gotham of evil for good. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
