Description

Some of you may recall me saying I dont use photo's to get my #poses, I can rarely find the one that fits what Im going for in a timely manner, so instead I study pictures on my free time, anytime I can, Im always looking at something I can memorize. I was looking at sunsets and the sun's glare on a lens and I've always been attracted to it. I dont like to "borrow" other artist #mojo, instead I try to be influenced by its energy. I stared at that picture a long time and I wanted to capture that ambiance that I find so powerful. When you really study a photo, you can absorb enough info that you can eventually start to move things on your own, like I did here, in the pic I studied, the suns glare was much more prominent by 40% and off to the left, and I photoshoped it in my mind and adjusted according to what I wanted

Before the figure was drawn, I grabbed a #WarmGray 4 #CopicMarker and started to quickly capture the shapes of the trees without worrying too much about making it look "pretty" and then started to add detail throughout the trees. #SavageLandRogue was always in my mind because I feel the colors of her costume best fits #TonedPaper the best, especially her white hair.

Believe it or not, this is a "quickie" for me, if given the time, I project I shaved 30-40 hrs worth of work off of this one, like drawing the separation from water and earth and the roots from the tree's going into the water and the rest of the water and more leaves but I didnt have the time and Im glad, simplicity is often time more powerful in my art and ALWAYS more popular
