Wow! What a classic! Dare I say that this is one of Iron Man’s most recognizable covers?

As a bonus to this being a memorable nostalgic cover, at the time this was such a different approach that made it a cool distintive cover---and it retains its masteful execution. Congrats on acquiring this!

What a wonderful cover! Its the perfect cover. Grabs the reader and makes them want to look inside to see what happens. Congrats.

Maaaan. I'm reminded of Indiana Jones's line about "this should be in a museum" ...hell of an iconic cover. Imagine all the millions of times people were going through old back issues and this one just grabbed them!

Iconic image and dripping with nostalgia for me. I remember pulling this off the spinner and couldn't wait to read the story! Thanks for sharing!

Does he make it? I have to know. The cover did its work, as all good covers do.

I agree with many of the comments, but, what I recommend here from my perspective, is different from the other posts. You desperately need a description. This cover deserves one. It does not have to be elaborate. This is the only Byrne interior issue that he did for IM prior to issue 200. Marvel introduces Randy Rhodes in this issue. SHIELD becomes a villainous organization trying to take out our hero. To top it all off, you have a Layon cover depiction that screams "BUY ME" over other covers on the spinner racks at that time. Thoughts to at least consider?
