Description

As I've called him before - DC's Spider-Man - Just an ordinary guy trying to figure it all out. Despite the INCREDIBLY 80's-challenged outfit they put together a nice little run that I really enjoyed as a young teen. As the run was short I was able to collect it all, adding extra shine to it for me.

I was extremely happy to see this pop up at auction and I'm pretty sure I had to fight off another me to get it. You put up a good fight.

It's also the first appearance of Will Payton Starman, and that's a first for my collection too.

Update Nov 2020 - I recently got this back from Gordon Christman who did a PHENOMENAL job of removing some very pesky glue stains. Can't quite figure out why the editors decided to move the star but it left a lot of evil residue. I believe Gordon actually separated the plys to accomplish the restoration! Don't mind the color difference, that comes from the light in which I photographed it.

Amazing pick up!!! I still have every issue of this! It was really a really fun read when it came out. Something I look forward to re-reading at some point for sure

Awesome Score! I was sad to hear of Tom's passing. Very shortly after I saw many of his Starman pages/covers.I believe up on eBay. I wish I had, had cash handy. I ould of like you swooped in and tried to buy up as much of it as I could. I loved his sharp clean simple pencils.
