My favorite commission in my collection….Batgirl aka Barbara Gordon penciled and inker by the legendary Joe Delbo and Joe Giella!! Delbo and Giella did fantastic work on Batgirl, during her backup stories in Detective Comics, back in the early 80s! Babs is one of my favorite characters from DC Comics, so this commission means a lot!

I asked Jose Delbo’s daughter and Joe Giella’s art manager, Jeff Harnett, if I can get a full body drawing of Batgirl standing on a building, with a nice Gotham City background. They were both going to be at a comic con not too far from me, so I asked to pick it up at the show. Check out the photos to see me holding this beautiful piece with Delbo and Giella! Also you’ll see the pencils of the commission by Delbo before Giella’s inks. They both did a great job on this one.

I’m still on the hunt for some nice published Batgril (only Barbara Gordon) art pages from the 60s to late 80s/early 90s. It can be interior, cover, splash or title pages. So if you know anybody who’s selling any, or don’t mind letting one go, tell them to let me know!

It does not get better than this. Well done on approaching the Delbo & Giella teams for this. I know that it was newly drawn, but I can't help wanting to call it a 'classic'!
