That's a beautiful piece. I like how the squiggly lines are used to show the arrows' shadows on the uneven sand. Great touch.

Exceptional piece- the late 40s early 50s DC western books are a window on the silver age

Toth is truly a master at his craft.
When I look at this art , I taste the sand, smell the gunsmoke and can feel, the arrows whizzing by
Toth has a way of making you feel like you're there !

Superb. You can already tell how gifted he was and simplified his style would become.

Wow, that is gorgeous--not a ton of black on the page, but what's there is so well placed. Incredible depth--and you can feel the bullets flying. Awesome!

This one would be special, even if other Golden Age covers by Toth did exist.

Stunning cover by Alex, on one of DC's most forgotten characters. I have long admired this cover and am so happy it is now residing in the home of one of the premiere Golden Age art curators.

Incredible piece. I just sent my copy of this book to CGC earlier this year; easily one of my favorite covers from the AAW title.
