Description

For years I was looking for an X-Factor original art, especially one of the first issues (Jackson Guice or Marc Silvestri).
All I've found were not in good shape, most of them had balloons tanned by the glue or had balloons missings !
in November 2021, I had the luck to catch this one
Mephiso vs X-Factor #2 by John Buscema & Bob Wiacek !
An 1987 limited serie that I've had nearly forgotten over the years !
Having an X-Factor art of John Buscema as is a great consolation for not having an X-Factor of Guice or Silvestri.
A great art with a lot of bonuses :
- Mephisto an 100% Buscema DNAed character,
- The original X-men / the X-Factor team (minus Angel),
- & the 3 Jean Grey (Marvel Girl, Madelyne Pryor & Phoenix) !
Maybe / Surely the 1st 1st Appearance of the 3 Jean Grey in an issue on a page (?) !

Mephisto by John Buscema is rare and highly valued! The devil's tongue is compelling and temps Cyclops with the status of Jean/Madeline/Phoenix.

Great page! Mephisto doing what he does best, that sly devil. This page really encapsulates the messiness of the Scott/Jean/Madelyne/Phoenx love square--great 80s X-Men melodrama.
