DescriptionI never discovered Dredd until the Stallone take on the character. As a kid, I was well entertained by the sci-fi spectacle and watch it to this day, despite it's inaccuracies. I randomly decided to research the character's history and was fascinated with all his anti-heroisms and that he ages yearly like a real person. Then the Karl Urban version came and took Dredd cinematically to another level.Basically, I knew he would be a character I'd want to have in a great piece. Dredd covers aren't as easy a find and certainly not like this. Social/Sharing |

The oversized figure drives the grandeur of the design. Beautifully composed. The use of blacks is great. Great cover.

It's awesome to have the big silhouette figure of mystery looming over Dredd! The solid black background allows Davidson to bring a truly iconic and impactful image to light.

Yeah - any other character might be drawn to look alarmed or on alert in a situation like this - on a cover featuring a mysterious and menacing evildoer gleefully looming above you. Not Dredd. I love his attitude here, holding his own in this dynamically composed, dramatic cover. Love the "S" lettering in the background, adding nice visual texture as well as upping the (already considerable) creepy factor! Great use of blacks, too! Awesome pick up, Nash! Congrats on this score!

The bad guy functioning as a silhouetted backdrop for Dredd works to great effect! Congrats!

Wow! Fabulous 2000 A.D. cover! Love the heroic pose of Judge Dredd here juxtaposed against the black overcoat of the Stygian Devourer. The villain's sneer is in perfect opposition to Dredd's frown. Powerful cover by Paul Davidson.
