Description

I got a nice older sketch from Finch earlier this year for a good price, but I prefer things inked. So when I saw Richard Friend was doing inking commissions on Finch pieces I decided to have him ink and finish it for me. The Finch original is a smaller 9x12 drawing on thin paper, so Rich had to ink it separately and hates bluelines and graylines, so he was able to (I believe) blow it up on a lightbox and then he penciled and inked it on a larger 11x17 art board. As one of Finch's best inkers ever, he was fully qualified to do that and make the piece even better and even bigger and I am thrilled with the results!

I am adding the original pencils to the additional images but it is also posted in this gallery on it's own.

Terrific! You get the best of both worlds with a successful 90's look inking job accomplished by Richard Friend!

Dave ,you can never go wrong with Finch or Friend ! After meeting Richard Friend several times,I bought several pieces for my collection.Richard can ink anything and is a great human being also I might add,congrats.
