DescriptionThe very first JLA/JSA team-up ....EVER!It is the mirror of the cover as the splash page shows the Justice Society of America viewing the Justice League of America through a mystic cloud. On this page are JSA members Black Canary, Doctor Fate, Hawkman, Green Lantern, the Atom, and Hourman and JLA members Batman, the Atom, Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Green Arrow and Superman. According to Heritage, this page once belonged to legendary comic book historian Jerry Bails, and it has a personalized note in the bottom margin from DC Editor-in-Chief Julie Schwartz that reads: "To Jerry Bails, Who hoped for the day when the scene depicted in the lower half of Page 24 could come true! -- Julius Schwartz, Editor Justice League of America". Key issue of the silver age and introduced advanced science fiction fantasy concepts into the genre as a whole! Double roll call!

Any page from issues 21-22 would be coveted by a silver age Justice League fan but this one is in the grail stratosphere. It's as historic as it gets. Congratulations.

Spectacular acquisition--I met Jerry at the 1967 Detroit Triple Fan Fair and purchased a Dr. Fate Hourman showcase 56 page. A true father of comic fandom. Congratulations!

Historic! Classic! Epic! Whichever adjective you prefer, they all apply to this incredible JLA title splash. Gorgeous art by Mike Sekowsky and Bernard Sachs. Certainly one of the most significant meet-ups of the Silver Age. It's a wonderful pick-up, congrats!

As a kid I never liked Sekowsky. He seemd like Kirby on Psycedelics. I loved his and Murphy's Covers for the JLA but the insides were crazy and confusing.
Then I got to Ink him very early on in my career and I really had to woodshed to do it right... and I learned so much. I love his work now. And I especially love the way Dick G Inked him.
And Bernie is a tremendous Inker<

As the previous owner of this splash, i'm glad to see it pop up in a the hands of someone who will cherish it. I always loved the annual team ups in JLA but Jerry had held on tightly to all the pages he had, so there were very few great early ones to chose from, until he passed.
Whilst the art might be considered by some to be lacking, for me the nostagia and historic element, always drove me to look past any failings.
Its a great piece, enjoy.

Not only historic, but a quite beautiful splash!! These crossovers cemented my love of JLA and JSA both...
