DescriptionI have always appreciated George Perez's 2-page spreads from his 1970s Marvel work, as well as for DC Comics in the early 1980s. When I was offered a shot at this spread, I had to go for it, especially because I have lived in Washington, DC for ~25 years. I look forward to enjoying it framed on my wall in a couple of weeks. The previous owner shared this recollection:"I met [Perez] years ago at a con and asked him to sign it. He explained that Logan’s Run is one of his earliest works and that issue was important to him because it was the first time he was forced to draw from reference material. Up to then if the script called for a building he would just draw one from his imagination. This script called for the Lincoln Memorial and he could not 'fake' that so he was forced to get pictures as reference and it was a revelation to him how much easier it was to draw with a reference available." Very immersive fantasy work by Perez! This is as spectacular as the work he'd do for NTT #12, Paradise Island art for Wonder Woman, Asgard in Avengers, etc. throughout his career.

That's great Lee! Perez was really starting to show off the level of detail here that would make him a fan favorite. This is really elevated by Janson's inking too!
