DescriptionSo much debate on the first appearnce of Gambit. Technically the Annual did come out first, the is in many panels (two on this page) and has dialogue. That said Chris Claremont does says that although it shipped later the Uncanny issue - not the annual - is the first appearance. I would still say the one that comes out first has to be up there, but then again I dont have a page from both so it is easy to side with this one. Another interesting aspect is that this shows the evolution of Adams work from his Longshot and prior X-Annuals. Needless to say as a kid who bought the issue of the shelf and being a huge Cable and Gambit and Adams fan I am really happy to have this one.Social/Sharing |

Big time, man! As someone who has pages from neither book, this counts as first appearance hands down. Congrats!

Epic page from an epic issue! I really love Adams' version of Cable in this book. The first appearance of Gambit debate is always an interesting one! Nice page!!!!

There may be a debate on which one is first, but there is no debate on which issue had the better interior art!

Major congrats on adding this one! First or not first, it's a really nice early Adams and so cool to see super early Cable and Gambit in there.
