DescriptionSome guys are so good that even a knucklehead like me can recognize their talent right away. Andy MacDonald is one of them. I was first introduced to Andy by Ivan Brandon years ago at a Baltimore Con. I remember Andy showing me this little sketchbook he was working in and in this book were all these very cool, very intricate, some very teeny tiny drawings that later became Ivan's and Andy's very popular book, NYC Mech. Of all the wonderful pages, my favorites were ones of the buildings and the cityscape of NYC Mech. So when Andy asked me what I wanted for my Batman commission, I merely said, "I want Batman and I want Andy Mac architecture." I think he got the message and delivered this incredible piece to me at the recent Big Apple National show. Obviously I was floored by such a piece and I let out a very loud dork yell that seemed to scare the whole cast of Warriors! ;) Thanks very much to Andy!!! :)Social/Sharing |

Andy certainly has a way of drawing incredible looking buildings. The Batman is ok too.

Is that why the Warriors were scared of all the Asian guys that walked by? Very nice piece. Glad I got to see it up close

Well, the cast of "The Warriors " are all in their 70s by now – so your man yell doesn't impress me so much. But this piece? Even the Russian judge gives this a 10.

This is, hands down, the Best piece I've seen from Andy yet! The buildings remind me of some Golden covers!

Tell Batman to get out of the way. He's blocking my view of that awesome architecture

great piece! I found myself thinking the same thing as the above poster: this is an artist with an eye for the architecture and space that michael golden has. and that's rare. what a great piece!
