Description

This is the incredible Colossus that Jim Lee did for my brother, who became addicted to cons very soon after leaving the convention. It was amazing to watch Mr. Lee work, using pencil, acrylic paint, pen, and finally whiteout. We were so lucky- there was little time for Mr. Lee to do any sketches because of the volume of his fans who simply wanted his autograph.

awesome colossus sketch! you've got quite a collection yourself. just to respond to the comment you left for me, Kaare Andrews was in Toronto earlier this year for the Paradise Toronto Comicon.

I like how Jim uses all the tools available in an artists tool box- case in point, the use of whiteout to add an extra dimension to the figure. Great piece!

Love the detail here. You can feel the texture of the metal from this sketch. Not many artists can pull that off
