Never did I envision or fantasize about encountering, let alone possessing, it. That's one facet I deeply appreciate about collecting original artwork. You grow up immersed in comics, certain images ingrained in your psyche, and then years later, they resurface with an added dimension... the tangible original piece in your grasp. For this, I am indebted to Brent, who ultimately opted to part with it. I understand it wasn't an easy decision, so my heartfelt gratitude goes to him. A quick nod to Jae, the comic art virtuoso! You have your standard comic artists, and then you have artists like Jae. Someone who approaches lines with an entirely unique perspective, infusing a subtle and profound sense of melancholy into the drawings that require no explanation. Classic Avengers cover by Jae Lee! Love this image of Captain American holding up his shield as all the other Avengers turn away. Jae gives this drawing a very edgy look that makes us wonder what the daylights is going on?
