Wow !! This is a VERY impressive Giordano piece !! I haven't seen it before and nearly missed all the tiny villains gathering, when I glanced at the thumbnail... Well done !

With a little creativeness, it is easy to imagine that Hawkman is sporting a large tail, so I guess they could change his name to Chimera-Man. Maybe that change will do something to help his perennially lagging sales.

What was supposed to help sales was Hawkgirl. Which by the way was drawn on this to the right of Hawkman, but inked over as she would have appeared too small and confused people if she just appeared from the back.

That is a fascinating bit of history on the piece, which is fascinating in and of itself. I, too, love original packaging art, and a piece drawn by one of the masters of the medium is very special indeed.

Beautiful! Giordano was such an under-rated artist!

Wonderful splash! I have Kenner's carrying case and every time I see it it gives me a wistful smile. Thanks for showing it!

Nice to see Giordano's licensing work-- I think most of the licensed art I've seen from that period was done by JLGL, but Giordano brings it on this one!
