San Diego Comic Con 2011

�� Pierre Alary returned to San Diego in 2011 after his previous trips in 2006 and 2007. He is married with a family now and brought everyone over for a California vacation. My brother Stuart arranged for commissions and I am very happy with my Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind commission. When I met Pierre for the first time in 1996, he was wearing a My Neighbor Totoro t-shirt. I briefly considered asking for Marie, but figured Pierre would bring some Belladone art for sale. Stuart got first crack, but I'm very happy with this image. It's drawn on Disney animation paper left over from Pierre's days at their French studio working on Tarzan and other films.

�� Stuart Ng Books offers Pierre's three volume Belladone and Sinbad graphic novels (aka bande dessinee) from France. They have copies of the Comix Buro Alary Sketchbook, Spider-Man Family #3, and Stuart Ng Books' Pierre Alary Sketchbook 2007.
