Conan and Sword + Sorcery Art
I've always loved the Sword + Sorcery genre! Conan is my 3rd all time favorite comic, mostly based on the too short, but historic run by Thomas and Windsor- Smith. Gil Kane also drew a great Conan, as did Neal Adams... but Barry was an incredibly hard act to follow. Roy's writing on the series was always excellent. I was fortunate enough to ink Conan in the mid '90's, something I had always wanted to do! The fact that I was inking Barry at the time and Rafael Kayanan was working in a similar style helped the stars line up on that one.
