Jim Lee
As I was begining to lose interest in comics, I happend upon an issue of Punisher War Journal with art by Jim Lee at the local comic shop, Gary's Corner Book Store. As strange as it sounds, what really caught my attention was the way he drew his character's eyes. You could see the pupils and they had a cool reflective quality to them. Yeah, I know strange. The next issue I picked up that he did was Uncanny X-Men 248, a fill in issue for Marc Silvestri. I skipped over the credits and as I looked over the issue I thought to myself, wow, Silvestri is really kicking it up a notch. When I go back to the credits I saw that Jim Lee was credited as the penciler. Who the hell was Jim Lee?! Stan Lee's cousin or something? Well, whoever he was, I thought the kid really had potential.
