DescriptionIn the early 90s, with the popularity of Marvel’s Merry Mutants at it’s heady heights, the House of Ideas decided to release a second series featuring the X-Men. Whilce Portacio would pencil Uncanny X-Men and Jim Lee would pencil the new adjectiveless X-Men book. This work was created as a promotional piece for the new series. It was also used for the cover to Comic Interviews as well as a t-shirt. For 2011, it was used as a cover for "X-Men by Chris Claremont and Jim Lee Omnibus Vol. 1". It appears the team composition was still to be finalized as there is a mix of members from the Blue team, Gold team and X-Factor. The piece measures 13.5 x 20.5. When this image was included in the Jim Lee X-Men Artist’s Edition, it was reduced in size. Social/Sharing |
