Walt Howarth (1928-2008) was the primary artist for the UK publisher World Distributors Ltd. (WDL) during the 1950-1970 period. Walt's major claim to fame was the ability to depict life like renditions of various stars of the period - work he performed for various comic covers, Christmas annuals and jigsaw puzzles. Much of the comic work inside the issues were direct US reprints (reprinted in glorious black & white) with a new Walt Howarth cover.
