Back in June of 2010 Josh had mentioned that he was planning on working on something for San Diego Comic Con. He had told me that he would let me have first dibs of the art produced for it. I asked him about it again in August after Comic Con had passed and he said it was not finished in time for Comic Con but that it was going to be a prequel issue. I was going through some old emails and came across the discussion. It looks like it worked out in the end when I ended up getting these 2 pieces even though I had long forgotten the discussion of them. Josh said he was going to do a Dead@17 #0 to release before the Final Chapter that was going to give a little more back story to Series One. He had planned on releasing it Fall 2010 but never did. He drew 2 pages for it but then decided to just include it in the Final Chapter since it was so important to the story. He wouldn't tell me any more then that because he didn't want to spoil anything.
